Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS)

CAPS LIBRARY

The Library of Centre for Air Power Studies was established in 2006.

Books covering the area of national security, air force and military affairs, international and nuclear issues, terrorism, environment and defense related issues are available in the library. The Library subscribes to about seventy periodicals and newspapers, both national and international. It also receives journals as donation or in exchange.

The Periodicals are bound annually and preserved for reference. Library provides services of online journals (both National and International) and uses various network resources including the services offered by DELNET.

The Library has received valuable books as donation from Library of Congress and distinguished personalities. The Library archives various conferences and seminar reports organized by CAPS in the form of CD/DVDs.

The Books in the library are classified according to the Dewey. Decimal classification and catalogued online into machine readable format. The Information of books can be retrieved by Author, Title, Subject, Series etc. Books can be issued to the scholars for a fortnight and be renewed provided there is no reservation for them.

CAPS offer inter-library loan delnet services to its scholars. The Centre provides reference facilities to scholars with prompt replies. Photocopying facilities are available free of cost. Membership of the Library is confided to the Members of CAPS.
